It’s never very fun when you have to travel pretty consistently. It can wear on your energy levels, it can make you feel sick sometimes, and if you don’t do certain things, you can pack on weight so easily. Bad habits from food to activity are all over the place during business trips.
Just think about the drinking, the terrible good, and the beds you have to sleep in. Here are somethings you can do to keep you body in tip top shape while you are on length trips and all you have in the hotel.
First, when it comes to fitness, most hotel gyms pile on the treadmills and elliptical machines. These are worthless for a great workout and they don’t promote increased energy. What you should be doing is a specially designed body weight workout program. This involves your muscles more to you can build up your natural energy. Plus you can do these in the room or in the hotel gym as well. You might just attract other people to what you’re doing because of how much better of a workout it looks like.
Second, sleep is so important. Hotels can be really hard to sleep in but they give you some great control too. Most hotel bed sheets even though they clean they are still very dirty and so are the comforters. What you should use are silk sleeping bags that you can bring with you. These are just like luxury silk sheets you can use on any bed. You sleep in them in the bed and they protect you from allergens and so much more. Using a silk pillowcase is also a great idea and it’s easy to bring with you on trips.
Finally, food. You really need to work on bring healthy snacks with you. Business meetings, hotel meals, and those things are always terrible for you. They kill energy so bring your own meals and you’ll be much better off for sure.
